Since the age of sixteen, Felix Thiedemann has been involved in organizing ensembles and events. While organizing a South American tour (Argentina and Uruguay) for the symphony orchestra of the Tübingen Music School, he discovered his joy in and talent for organizing tours and events. He gained experience by organizing different concert series for the LiteraturCafe Tübingen amognst others, the Jazz&Klassiktage Tübingen, in internships at the Freiburger Barockorchester and OpheliasPR in Munich.
In 2011, he founded the vielklang Festival Tübingen, which he has led as artistic director ever since. In 2022, he led the organization of the D-bü competition in Trossingen for the German Musicuniversities. As of April 1, he will be managing director of the Bürgersaal Fürstenried.
It is important to Felix Thiedemann to curate and organize events that are directed toward the future. In order to interest and inspire young audiences in particular for art in general and music in particular, events must be designed across art forms. Every event must include an educational offer, an offer to participate.
Aesthetic education is visibly being neglected in general education schools. Felix Thiedemann is firmly convinced that it is immensely important to always create the opportunity to participate and learn for oneself in addition to high art, and thus to move from listening to doing.
